Joey Ellwood

Joey has been farming and excited about being outdoors since he was young. He has been a vital member of our farming community, engaging in numerous farm direct businesses and playing a significant role in educating the public about agriculture and regenerative farming practices. He has participated in various events, including farm-to-table dinners and child engagement activities like community honeybee box painting contests during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Joey’s involvement extends across the entire food chain. He is a former board member of the Stark County Hunger Task Force and an alumnus of both Leadership Stark and Leadership Tuscarawas. As a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau, Joey has also worked closely with other farmers to help them build sustainable practices and grow their businesses through collaboration and community efforts. Through a special projects committee within Leadership Tuscarawas and his family’s regenerative hemp farm, he actively collaborates with Empower Tusc. This non-profit organization in Tuscarawas County is dedicated to preventing youth substance abuse, promoting mental health wellness, and providing recovery support for individuals battling addiction.
Andrew Cornell

As the owner of Groovfold Inc., Andrew brings a strong background in leadership, business development, and strategic growth. His expertise in operational management and structured expansion has allowed him to drive innovation while maintaining a commitment to quality and efficiency.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Andrew is an avid golfer with college golf experience, reflecting his passion for the outdoors and appreciation for preserving natural spaces. This passion extends to his role as a board member of the Tuscarawas Community Economic Development Corporation (TCEDC), where he stays actively involved in community expansion efforts. He ensures that TuscLands’ voice is heard in discussions, advocating for the preservation of greenspace amidst economic growth.
With a deep understanding of organizational strategy and community development, Andrew continues to contribute both professionally and civically, supporting initiatives that foster sustainable growth and enhance the quality of life for those around him.
Gabriel Riggle

Gabriel has an extensive background in both domestic and international development, having served with distinction in both AmeriCorps and the United States Peace Corps. He successfully developed and implemented numerous projects related to outdoor recreation and tourism, as well as improved infrastructure for access to the outdoors.
Gabriel also has worked for years in the Federal government, working to expand Federal funding for communities to meet the increasing challenges to natural hazard resilience. At the same time, he continues to engage with local government on both grants and multimodal components to proposed public projects.
Gabriel was born and raised on a farm in Tuscarawas County, is an avid outdoorsman and cyclist, and believes that incremental change, project by project, will have an enormous impact on the quality of life for everyone.
